As your sheriff I’m committed to serve the citizens of Clackamas County. I’ll make decisions beneficial to the citizens not based on political correctness or political expedience. I’ll restore accountability with compassion while creating a culture where all law enforcement professionals know their authority well and use it wisely. • Create a foundation of public safety by enforcing the law. • Hold criminals accountable. • Create a culture of service based policing.

 Stand tall for the Constitution

The sheriff’s requirement to swear and oath to support and defend the Constitution shouldn’t be ceremonial window dressing. The sheriff is responsible to protect the rights of all citizens. • Create a county culture of accountability by enforcing all laws. • Stand tall against unconstitutional law and advocate for the rights of all citizens. • Protect religious freedom and the weaponization of government against faith based organizations and citizens practicing their faith. • Protect the integrity of our election process and the citizens right to elect their leaders.

 Protect our children and schools

We must protect our children as we insure that they can flourish in safe and secure environments. I will stand against the sexualization or politicization of children. • I will advocate for parents rights in general and in education.

 Uphold your gun rights

The second amendment right to Keep and bear arms SHALL not be infringed. An armed citizenry is a safe citizenry. • I will stand for the constitutional rights of lawful citizens to exercise their gun rights. As a public service, we will provide handgun training and encourage public participation. • I will create a task force to investigate firearm related crime. • I will advocate for enhanced penalties for firearm related crime. • I will advocate for enhanced penalties for careless or reckless use of firearms.

 Establish a Sheriff’s Posse

I will build a sheriff’s posse. • The posse will be a highly trained, voluntary force to be activated in the general service of the public or in any case of natural disaster, public emergency, or any situation that exceeds that sheriff’s office ability to deploy adequate services to conserve the peace.

 Address Homelessness & Drug abuse

Create an environment of accountability that will encourage homeless citizens to get off of our streets and out of our public areas. Connect homeless individuals with recourses to assist them with a focus on accountability. • Advocate for programs that are geared toward bringing the homelessness population to manageable numbers and advocate against any program that jeopardizes public safety and isn’t directly tied to a quick and substantial decrease in homelessness. • Advocate for the total repeal of measure 110 and the security of our Southern Border. Create a reporting system for the use of Narcan to accurately document the magnitude of the Fentanyl epidemic. • Advocate for a compassionate and effective way to assist drug addicted individuals.
